Had a day with Alan scot today got their for about 12 30 . It was quite all day Alan had a couple of nice flounder I reeled in a nice lobster , hard work that mind . 20 minutes before we packed in Alan got a codling just under size then 5 minutes later I got a cracking bite . Reeled into a canny weight I thought was a crab , I'd gave up on catching a fish by now . Then it started fighting back we were at the post fishing into the sea with rocks showing the fish came in and got stuck gutted ! Gave it a yank and it freed a nice codling of about 3 lb ish . Couple of minutes later Alan had another codling just under size . Great day with a good friend I'm still buzzing . Alan was using bluey I had crab and all fish were returned

Well done on the codlings; was the lobster worth keeping?

I was out yesterday afternoon as well and I was going to fish shields pier but ended up going to roker (decision was based on the fact that I didn't have any cash on me for the car park at shields!), only dabs at roker, and the odd coley and whitie, wish I'd gone to shields.
