  • South Shields Pier

When I said last night I was thinking of fishing the Pier last night I didn't reckon on half the fishers in the North East having the same idea. The place was packed.
Fishing wasn't up to much but at least I didn't blank with a tiny codling and a couple of Dabs.
There were fishers coming and going all day and I only say three bags of fish. A guy reckoned there was a couple of codling and a few coalies but considering the number of anglers it was poor.
    Great day out though

Thanks to Jamie and BigPaul for the info last night

    Cheers

Well done mate. Shame there weren't more fish about for you but it's very quiet at the moment. I fished two beaches yesterday without a bite.
Best shore caught fish:- Pollock 6lb+ Beadnell, 9lb 8oz Cod Blyth Beach

At least ya never blanked mate, shields pier is normally good even when its flat seen some decent bags of cod on there in the summer, it can also be like everywhere else very hitty and missy.
