Sounds like a canny session well done, where abouts do uou get onto the beach and are there any specific marks to fish,i think i may have fished there once,i parked the car at the bottom of a housing estate and followed a long path/road underneath a bridge which brings you out on a beach which almost looks like a moonscape lots of mud and boulders,is that the sameplace?

yep thats horden beach, good walk if you aint got a 4x4, basically fish take in most areas of the beach where i have been, only place i have problems is directly opposite where you get onto the beach and slightly left, anything over 100 yards and i hit what is possibly a old net, that codling came from the right hand side the beach, walk untill the river cuts the beach and about 70 yards further on-bit of a hike though, there is a car park at the bottom of that lane you talk about, however the localbobby advised me never to park there because of the bast*ds in the area and it could get wrecked or burnt out, there are other accesss points , i often see the local mountain goat anglers going home via them, what i often do especially if theres no big waves is use two rods, one as far as i can get it and the other at varying distances, can be very popular especially at weekends and allthough there would be plenty of room i pref to give other anglers plenty of room, nowt worse than setting up and someone comes down late and sets up on your shoulder
