I've had a few sessions this year that turned out to be great when really flat. I think nearly all of them have coincided with big tides though. Tides are looking good for tomorrow night.

I was cracing on with one of the lads the other day about Bob returning his 14lb er off the Heugh and he said a funny thing.
The older a fish gets the less tasty it is. He reckoned a plump 3lb er was better than an old 14lb er.
This raised a couple of questions in my head.
How long does it take a cod to grow to 14lb. Is it a pound a year?
How long does it take a bass to grow because they grow a lot slower to a decent size.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.
