had a few hours low water fishing tonight with Yours truly.
first chuck terry got one on but got hung up with it, i went over to give him a hand so put the ratchet on put the rod in the stand.we waded out to see if we could free it but it was too deep,anyway golden nuts managed to free it himself got it in about 3lb.
meanwhile i could hear the ratchet on mine going so i picked it up and whey hey nod nod struck into it got stuck a couple of times but managed to get this in between 5-6lb.
never stopped all night cast then move.
ended up with 5 for about 20lb between us,all fish safely returned for another day.
thanks terry,did'nt half enjoy watching them swim off

Nice one Stevie, I remember the first fish of about 5 lb that I returned, completely changed my idea of fishing after that. The buzz I got from seeing it swim away is very hard to describe mate. Well done to you and Terry.

Well done lads, firstly on catching them and secondly on putting them back, another good session eh! Were you at the same mark as monday stevie? Ive just been down for some water at 9ish and there were a few lights along that way 2nite aswell. Not a ripple on the water though.

Jamie, the 10lber come from Parson Rocks on Monday, the lights you seen tonight were the sunderland club i think they had only small coalies.

We fished the rifle ranges on Wednesday night, sea was flat but still plenty of colour and the bigger tide gave it some movement, we only expected to get rockling due to the conditions, i fished the samre area on Tuesday night with a bit of sea movement and had nowt, just goes to show they can still be caught in a flat sea.

This fishing lark is a funny old game.
