  • Last night Roker

Well lads, fished the pier last night, from 7pm to 11:30 bait Lug only (good size lug I must say for a change).

Appart from the clampets that were fishing next to me who kept casting over my line and then reeling in every five mins, there was very little entertainment. Not alot caught at all, and the only fish kept were undersized from a young chav and his muppet of a mate who were competing against each other fo rthe title of 'king clampet'

Gutting the 2 half pond codling they caught on the end of the roundhead forced me to go home early with only one undersize whitting that i returned as should they have done.

Aanyway rant over, maybe next time.

        Hard lines mate....
i no what you mean about the clampits, there was a party of half a dozen fishing on the end of tynemouth peir a couple weeks ago complete with hardcore rave music blasting out their ghetto blaster and drinking bottles of Lambrini. (yuk)
Must have been freezing in their holy trainers and tracka bottoms.
It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

Funny cause I dont see any of them out when the wind and sea is up, making it a bit uncomfortable, should have 'chav styles' on the gates and an allocated area for people who want to cast over each other

yeah they are clampets BUT you said "the only fish kept were undersized",then you say they gutted a 2 1/2lb codling,im confused,as a 2 1/2 lb codling aint gonna be undersize

Sorry mate, 2 x half pound codlings as in two of them, both undersize by a mile, It's not so much the fact that they kept them, it was more the way that they went on dancing about thinking it was a decent size fish that naffed me off

thats why i dont like fishing roker pier there seems to be too many chavs around speaking there dodgy language. the site of them with there baseball caps on and socks tucked into there second hand trainers. could really commit murder on the end of the pier when they are there.lol.
target of 10 codling this season and gonna try for a pig!!!!1

                      Cheers Justin

should give them lead wellies and let them watch the daylight from the bottom of the pier

Still police will be happy, if they on the piers and beaches at least they not on street corners and bothering them and familys.

Something in life that we all have to live with and to be honest they get away with it becuase not many, if any people will go up to them and tell them other wise.

If you have a go at them they will (a few of them) think nothing of having a go back and our days it would not be unknown for a chav with £3 to his name to have a £500 gun in his shorts.

Policeman in my area i chat with took a gun off a lad of 14 in December when he stopped him for a complaint from people about noise.

Big question is...will the fishing .L remove any of the chavs off the pier or will it be so under policed that they will get away with it as normal.
