  • Lynemouth Beach

Had An expedition up to Lynemouth beach with my son on Saturday, thanks to the guys who gave me directions on a previous post.Got there about 9.00am half way through the flood and set up about 100 yards past the Alcan outflow.Very slight swell so not much chance of a Codling.Bait-- usual suspects, lug, rag, runnydown, squid, razor, unfortunate ly it wasn't our day,we fished till about 3.30 tried close in,blasting it out to the horizon, not a touch apart from a plump blenny. However we both enjoyed the day, nice weather and some good banter with the locals who told me that the area had not fished well all winter.Anyway another place to try again when the sea conditions are right.

Generally speaking the residents at the Travellers site dont cause any problems, they get blamed for alot of things but as a rule people dont have any problems parking near there site.

Pretty sure it was done there as it is possibly the only time it has been parked and left,i did park next to Alcan but there was a lot of heavy plant parked so i parked a little further up just past the bridge and just in view of the security hut, these things happen could of been anybody, kids who knows, could have been worse if they got in the back of the van,a kompressor sport, tip tornado various makita powertools, will be emptying the van next time i go.

gotta be honest here, the lads from the travellers site get the blame for a lot that goes wrong around there,UNFORTUNATELY they are usually the wrong ones to blame, its usually the little toe rags who live in lynemouth.Kept my cabriolet up the caravan(cresswell towers) the cabby was stolen by locals, had my car broken into outside the travellers site, blamed them(wrongfully i may add) then found out through a local friend who done it and where my rods went.GOT THEM BACK,even went to the camp and appologised to the travellers

likewise, whenever I'm up home the conditions seem to be ok for lynemouth so I often fish there. i park beside the security gate and squeeze through that gap between the fences. Never had a problem in 20 yewars on and off.

i think alot of kids use that field for their motorbikes so it could of been them i also heard sum one that was fishing near newbiggen had got their car broken into aswell. thats one down point about fishing that many of the marks to fish you have to leave ur car in dark lonely places
