Thats what I thought Mick, but obviously not. You're a lucky git Joe, not giving you any more of my spots.

fished the beach last night, saw two others that walked off just after high, big waves, i nor my son could hold bottom for long, lost a few lines because of rocks being moved in the tide severing lines, got one serious bite, big big n heavy, took me right down to the right, eventually got it in, 5 foot of bloody net, other than that nothing

congrats to your mate on the cod

I cannot figure out how anyone could have held bottom in that last night. The waves were the biggest i have seen for a long time.
Water was coming over most of the Heugh at high tide.

                Mick.

PS Should have got the bairn off to school and jumped back in the motor for high tide this morning but her indoors is at stretching point.
Washed, ironed, hoovered and polished and put all of my smelly fishing gear away until next time.
She gets in from work soon so should be happy for a change.

yeah i tried to fish with my m8 last night at horden form 18:30 till 21:00 but we didnt last that long.
the sea would just pick up my 6oz drag and move it down the beach like it was nothin.
my m8 only lasted one cast and gave up cos his rod was too soft for the night.
so gona either go fishin tonight at steetleys for a while or save bait and go on sat.
