I actually targeted a species today and caught it!
Tiny turbot from Druridge today second cast. Had a run up there with Thunderpants and Pete from Shields, quiet fishing wise, mainly small flounders. Wish the three of us could have got a turbot but it was not to be. Mike got a flounder with an isome which kicked off his lure challenge so well done to him.

Well done on getting your target species Mark, pity there was,nt any surf running or there may have been a chance of a bar of silver(bass I mean) that would have been another species for the hunt!!

                  I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go

Nice one Mark, it was tough going in that wind aswell, thought we were in for a cracking day when 20 minutes had passed and we all had caught. Not to be though but at least we didn't blank, and one of us got the target species, being sand blasted all afternoon was not good, the 3 of us got off the beach like this hahaha.

Yeah Pete, people pay good money for exfoliation like that. All they need to do is stand on a beach in Northumberland for nine hours.
