  • Tynemouth peir...sat. night

    Hellow fellow nesains,

Me and Andy fished Tynemouth peir last night about 80yards from the end fishing into the river. we were using rag. lug. and squid on a two hook pennel flapper. size 1 aberdeens.

We fished from 6-11 and i had 2 whitting on my first 2 chucks, around a pound and a quarter each then nowt for the rest of the sesh.

Andy got a small codling around half a pound.
There was quite a bit of weed coming down the river on the ebb, but didn't cause too much problems.

Talked to about a dozen other anglers and only whitting and small undersized codling had been caught..

Aye.. there should be a N.E.S.A. badge or hat or something so we can all identify other members.

Don't like being an old timer but if you are going to fish the pier, which is illegal, please keep NESA out of it as far as you can. Would hate it to reflect badly on us all.
