Lost a fish last night that I swear was easy a double figure fish. I never saw it but I know what it was. Every time it nodded it's head I couldn't reel in. My rod takes some bending and it was bent double. I got stuck about half way in, and I tried all ways to get the sod out but it wasn't meant to be. My line parted just above the leader knot. I managed two tiny little codling, a decent whitie and this cod 5lb 9oz 4dms.

It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face
Cheers guys, a bitter pill to swallow but chuffed with the one I got. There was another fella about 50yds north of us who had one about 6 and half. There were a few lights on the south end but don't know if they had owt. There was a canny bit sea running, which I wasn't expecting. All fish were taken on runnydown, rag and lug.
