fished the corner of king eddies tonight. 2 rods. one codling for about 4ib first cast, totally amazed me. One bass and 2 flounders on my other rod (frozen crab...). Was fishing at big distance likje. 2 hooks clipped down, 150-180 yards out, based on my line layer.
    a lovely night.

Were you fishing the flood ?
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

Micky ...is King Edwards the first bay north of North Sheilds Pier?

If so we were the idiots fishing in the boat about 1/4 mile off the swimming pool.

Seems you had a few. Better than we did , best fish 2 1/2lb with about a dozen in total. Packed up at 7pm.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

sure is, you were slightly further south, maybe 500 m or so. always found that KEB can fish on a flat but you need a big cast.

            HI Mark,
Yes was down on sunday ...had a few hours out and not a bite. will PM you re electrics but they are all sorted. met Norman too.

Was out tonight with Jeff and got a few.

So wassup Mick ...yah never waved

Was hard work out there...bit further than your big cast But not that far.

Got a few...a guy at the other side of the rocks near the cafe packed up real quick...not actually sure but that may have been another forum member. Sorry but as a boat angler I dont know the names of the shore marks.

Pleasant evening but was nicer in the pub about 9pm

            Cheers
            Dave.

Me too, be lucky if i can hit 100 yards with 2 cod baits on.

Ages since i fished King Eddies bay, might give it a go on sunday
It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

Dave, I was fishing on the rocks on sharpness point last night when you were anchored off the bathing pool skeer. Didn't know what was going on as it's very unusual to see a small boat so close in. Spoke to my brother to see if any skull duggery was going on, but he told me that there was an angling boat about when he came ashore at tea time. Anyway I only managed a small codling of 10 inches before calling it a day at 7-15.
                    Cheers
