Me and me old man went to Lyneburn early Sunday morning (listening to the Ricky Hatton fight en route!).

We were greeted with a lovely crunch on the beach at around 6am. We fished until 10.30am and ended up with 6 codling to 3lb, 2 flounders and a whiting. Took 3 codling home for a bit of nosh!

Wonderful sunrise, not a breath of wind and a bit of action - it was a pleasure to be on the beach...

                        Successful bait was fresh lugworms.
Well done mate, love the sound of lynemouth when theres a sea running just as you get to the top of the hill and see it ..think its cleaned up too much in the last two year though doesn't fish as well as it did imho

Cheers again lads Paul I can only hope that the fishing will recover and we can all have sessions like that mate ..had some double figured bags from lynemouth as early as august on a big tide when the sea has been running..would seem daft asking the nfsa for filthy beaches and tons of coal tipped into the sea mate but it makes a hell of difference
