  • seaham sat/sun session

decided to fish sat evening through to sun morning at seaham. was expecting high winds so went down the blast for around 7.30pm. got first bite on my second cast, which resulted in a cracking fight and a cod of just over 5 1/2 pounds.
had another stonking bite and slack line everywhere around half an hour later but lost it. then sweet bugger all. fished with lug, suid and mussel.
started getting fast every chuck so left around midnight

went down to hawthorne for the early hours and fished through till 10am. no bites till daylight then several whiting, again on lug/ mussel/squid.

went home totally knackered but chuffed to get my first good cod of the season

well done mate. There seems to be a fair amount of cod/codling coming from the seaham area at the moment.
