nice turbot unexpected but a hard one out of the way for species challenge,one messy measure there bit like mine. davy.

Used to fish a lot of catch, measure and release matches when I lived on the south coast, there's probably the blood of a few hundred Pouting and Poor Cod on there...

well done mate first time I have seen one whart are they like for eaten

They are supposed to be very nice but in a moment of madness I hoyed it back as it was too small to weigh in. Regretted it even before it hit the water, it was a right meaty specimen and would have made a lovely fish supper

now now stewart its hard enough for me to tell the difference between poor cod and pouting, nevermind telling their bloodstains apart...apart from that well done on ur turbot , u r doing well for the species hunt
