Had a few hours over top water down at the 1st gate. No-thing but crab nibbles, (small tides).
Kept looking at the swell on the big beach, looked tremendous.
Ended up jumping over and hoying a few baits into the wash just behind the gate.
Was literally like a washing machine, couldn’t hold bottom. Gave it an hour and then home.
Got talking to the contractors heading along to the end, they were only going along to “gut” the lighthouse.
Told him, I had heard the pier would be open by October, he just rolled his eyes and said, “October 2034”.
Was a shame to see pier deserted yesterday, going to be a strange summer.
Not that I live there these days, like I used to many years ago, but still the same, nice to have it there for a session.
