  • Day on the Rays….SILLOTH

Turned up at 1000 to fish the tide up (1315) 3hrs and back down 3hrs (so I thought) !

Had to wait till 1030 before I could get in water.

I fished 2 rods and for the 3 hours I fished, it was pretty much non stop.

Had 4 Thornback and 3 Dogfish.

Dropped a fish off which I think was another Thornback.

Was a 9m tide today and 30 mins after High, it was time to pack up as rods were being lifted up from the ebb tide.

Is this always the case, or should I choose my tides more wisely to get more fishing time ?

I was blasting baits right out, perhaps better to drop shorter ?

Long way to travel from Gateshead for 3hrs fishing but I enjoyed it non the less.

Met a couple of cracking lads who were more than happy to pass on info on a few local Plaice marks, all noted for summer.

Thanks and thanks for lifting fish for me.

4 lads in total and I seen 3 more Ray and 1 Dab.

    Regards, Steve
