  • its all so quiet

Apart from club results it is very quiet on here nowadays. My friend sold his fishing boat so I have been relegated to the Northumberland beaches for the last few months

Must have spent around 40 hours in total for a tally of 6 Bass approx. 20 flounder 2 Plaice millions of whiting ( might have exaggerated slightly ) 3 coalie and my favourites 1 x sea trout of around a pound and a Turbot approx. frying pan size which I was very excited about.

    All fish returned.

Deadliest baits Ragwom for bass Mackerel strip for everything else.

had a few blank sessions with weed / rough sea issues

Tight lines everyone and get posting

My go to “44” mark s out of bounds this summer….along with a load of other people fav fishing…

I know of a few places over west coast but if I can find a few on my doorstep, great…

Keep at the shore fishing pal…

        Hi

It was Amble harbour I was quite surprised the stamp of fish that late afternoon was much bigger than the usual tiny flounder. Too much weed on the beaches so I wasted a few hours in the harbour and caught on every cast. Had a few good sized flounder then 2 nice plaice. I know they can be hard to identify but they looked different to the usual flounder, had bony heads and much brighter orange spots. Another guy fishing near me seemed sure as well.

Caught the Turbot bug now though and targeting them next weekend up at Warkworth
