Fished Friday, Saturday and Sunday on beaches and rocks around Amble / Hauxley. Friday and Saturday spoilt by loads of weed in the water, didn't even see any bites and on both days gave up after an hour. Sunday saw an improvement in conditions and managed a bass of around a pound and a small plaice both returned safely. Bass on lugworm and plaice on macky strip. Hoping to see some codling over the coming weeks as the nights get longer. This has been a very poor year so far, not counting mackerel I haven't had a keeper since winter
