    Fished roker pier today and caught a few decent whities saw s fair few cod in the 3-4lb bracket caught also saw a 15lb+cod drop off on lift and a thornback ray drop off on lift same unfortunate angler ,ray looked to be 6lb-8lb bracket fished into darkness when whiteys realy came on all in all a decent time was had

    canny session mark keeping your hand in the lad must be gutted about the fish were you on the end like ?

      Wouldn't you think a drop netwould be one of the 1st essentials for pier or cliff fishing?
      It would have certainly saved the day there and given him something to be chuffed about instead of moping about it for the next few weeks.

      Those net basket things you use to shop with in Primark would be well suited too on a rope of some sort.
      Told the missus I was going on a diet. I'd only eat what I caught

        Hi stan ,yes was fishing on the end of pier ,hope you are well stan and your latest builds are looking great had a nice bullet gt youd built other week lovely build n i bought that beutifull zti (pink one) you built for mark lovely job too .its taking me ages to work out website etiquette n how to use ect so n struggle with reading and writing anyway n dont know a post from a thread n all jargon ,anyway nice to hear from you maybe see you in summer on pier or field

          Yes drop net would of helped for definate ,i would of walked fish to steps personaly ,everytime i bring a drop net or fishbag im guaranteed to blank

            as above - have seen cod to 18lb from the end walked to the steps no problem. the only trick seems to be controlling the adreneline. but better to have loved and lost etc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              you must have been fishing the end of the pier on the top m8, as I was just past the second steps first cast I crab then nowt all day , m8 got two small codling lad next to use had a fish of just just under 4lb cod , saw the young lass loss the fish on the lift just down from the top steps.
              possible we just had the wrong bait rag lug black lug and Mackie or in the wrong plaice at the wrong time.
              also the wind did not help. but a good day out in the fresh air

                Yes i was on end. Dale i wasnt catching n decided to brave winds, friends sent pics of 6lb cod n couple 3-4lb cod hes just caught same place few hours ago

                  sound mark will defo be down the field to hopefully crack the 200 yards and meet up with you and the mad mark lol take care mate c u soon
