    fished the hall beach last night from about 6.30 till 8.30 absolutely nothing not a sniff of any fish, there were a few down but didnt see anything getting caught. packed up and went to the rat house for an hour, caught my first cod of the season a nice plump 2.5lber only bite of the night, i really thought that there would have been cod on the beaches, a guy came along and said hed been to horden and never got one bight in 2 hours of fishing what a change a couple of days can make........
    target of 10 codling this season and gonna try for a pig!!!!1

    yesterday

    i was down horden yeasterday 10.30 am till 6.30 pm had one bite all day which resulted in a bass of 2 and a half pounds there were quite a few lines in but i never heard or saw of anything else caught ias usng frozen peeler frozen blacks yellowtails rad mussel razor and squid still a nice sea on to

      spugy well done on the bass just a pity there wasnt anymore about. .

      brash were abouts on the hall did you fish??

        i was about 10 yards to the right hand side of the ramp, there must have been 7 or 8 just to the left of the ramp

          by the ramp do you meen the drive down ramp or the slope end of the prom ?

            hello mate i meant the drive down ramp right at the bottom of where the road dips down and then bends back up on the way to seaham..
            target of 10 codling this season and gonna try for a pig!!!!1

              There were a few on the Hall, three of whom were in the Ryhope match. Fish from the Hall came 2nd and 3rd (3lb+ Codling). The sea looked a treat in a South Easterly , unfortunately no-one told the fish.

              The torrential rain was a joy...

                brash your fishing the wrong place on seaham beach (from sunderland coast road turn left onto the drive down ramp then left again along the prom (headind back north) the slope is where the prom slopes into the beach the first set of steps onto the beach before the slope produces fish too (fish in between the slope to beach and 1st steps in big seas or get on the beach for some sport with the whiting / flatties and odd bass in flat waters)
