  • Hard graft at Whitburn Beach

Fished another forums winter league Comp tonight...boundaries were Marsden Beach to Roker (but not including the Pier)

    Rig - pennel
    Bait - lug, mussel, razor

To say it was hard work tonight is an understatement, there was a hellish rip across the beach which quite happily dragged yours and other peoples leads to the other end of the bay ...on top of that there were some HUGE lumps of seaweed swimming about...then there was the unpredictable wash from the surf which one minute was lapping at your feet, the next second it's about 30 yds away...as well as constantly moving rests, boxes, bait buckets and yourself...I'm shattered ...

    ...that said...

I did catch this little beauty...

Codling of 2lb 4oz....which bagged me the heaviest fish

Allan (Primo Man) got heaviest Bag with two codling...nice one Allan (no mate I REALLY do mean it )

there were also two others that weighed in too - names forgotten at this stage (soz lads if you read this)

Also during the night I met Mick65...who'd kindly given me some hints and tips about the mark...funnily enough I caught the Codling where he'd told me to go...cheers mate

Great night, extremely hard won fish...going to shower then bed...

That's 2 in 2 for me now...there's no stopping me now with this Codding mullarky

    Cheers

    Tony
