Well guys went down to Hartlepool today.Looked really windy. Went on Heugh about 2pm thought i was the only one on. One other bloke fishing on the ledge on the bottom corner. He had a couple of nice whities and a decent cod.
Here we go i thought must get the first cod of the season. Loaded up with some nice rag and out it went. Bang whitey. Next cast small flattie. Next cast a whitey. Went like this all day nearly every cast a whitey. Caught a couple of big ones which i thought were cod. But no luck with the old cod.
Kept half doz whiteys and put as many back.
Guy on ledge caught another couple of small cod.
Sea was running lovely and we had the pier to ourselves.
ITS LOOKING GOOD FOR THE WEEKEND.
Oh and the Penn is now spot on.
