  • Colour nose point

I bought a new rod today and took it to colour nose point to christen it.
I had a class session with a 7 and a half pound cod. Lots of knocks but couldn't hit them.
Love the new rod. Big thanks to Tony from Anwick.

Well done mate, nowt better than breaking the cherry on a new rod, especially first time out and with a cracking fish as well.

Guessing it was Tony's M4 Evo? Cracking rods they are, love mine for off thie piers and into mixed / rough ground
    CLIP IT AND WHACK IT

Yes Tonys M4 Evo. It's a cracking rod and got a really good work out with that fish. I still need to get used to the rod. It's quit a bit stiffer than I'm used to, but so far so good!!!!

Well done on the fish. I fished there yesterday in the memorial comp and lost a good pig and another on my last cast about 7 some good fish around that area yesterday.

It was good to meet you Sean. It was a long drive for you two for no fish. I was well pleased with the one but it was a hard walk back to the van with it and my failing batteries on the head tourch!
I will take your advice and get a spare set so that doesn't happen again

Deffo mate. You need a couple of sets like especially fishing somewhere like that. Need a full battery to clamber over rocks
