After 4hrs and blanking on this beach tues thought I would try again. Fished 7pm - 10pm. Ebbing tide, full moon , offshore wind, slight swell. Met another angler coming off mark I was going to, been there 3hrs without a bite and was off to Whitley. First 5 casts, 5 fish. 5lb, 3lb and 3 small codling these returned. Then nothing. Success partly owed to advice on this site about using mussel with frozen bait. I always use frozen and now added Morrisons fresh mussel to it in a mesh. Result , best session in at least 5 yrs.
