ok then me and davey m started fishing from 8pm at the walkway fishing the ebb tide nowt but small stuff so wrapped up and headed for the pier to see if we could get up to the end with no wave's coming over we headed up got up there for 9.30pm one of the lads colin was up there already he had three cod all around 2lb mark he caught them around 8.30pm so casted towards tynemouth pier davey off the front not long after davey managed a cod just over 2lb so l decided to move over to the southeast corner first cast it was'nt in the water 2 minutes had a canny knock and l got a load of slack line reeled in and l was in to a canny fish mind you there was some good swell's off the front getting bigger by the minute so the fish felt like a good doubler getting sucked under all the way managed to get it to the side of the pier rested my rod on the wall and reeled it up the side landed on the deck a nice cod of 5lb 6oz well pleased we had another cast but them swells where picking up so decided to go back to walkway we mite of had more fish but we where not putting are live's at risk there's all way's another day we had a couple of cast's but still the same small tommy cod so packed up around 12.30am shame about the weather but you cant have it allways
