no cod but great sport
fished opposite the glass centre for the first time today, because of the wind,31/01/14 from 10.45/1545. I used a simple 2 hook flapper.. caught about 8 flatties up to 12 inches and lost count the number of whiteys up to about 1 1/4lbs..used runnydown tipped with either squid/mackerel and yes pigs liver. squid seemed to do best but I did catch a couple on liver....I also caught 2 whites on the same hook at the same time hooked the first one and the point went through its lip and caught a second one ...I thought I had a cod on!!!!!!! fished next to billy from wingate good crack all afternoon ..it went quiet at high water and the cold and rain got the better of me so called it a day..3 lads fished other side of me and they were catching as well...left a bit liver for bill, i told him I,d get the pound off him later lol....

fish for 2014 whiting,codling,flattie,coalie,chub,perch,,trout,g rayling,seatrout,barbel roach and salmon .......let it go it will grow bigger -
ill have to stop sharing them pig liver tips
nice to see you catching and you asked for a pound thats about 4-5p extra should have ask for £1.50
