  • few hours fishing the ratty 26/09/07

well i decided it was the ratty today for a few hours , lovely sea on mind . arrived at 1pm , i had a few casts just over the railings side for starters .rained ,hailstoned ,very strong wind didnt help either ,tide was pulling hard aswell .so shifted along to the end ,couple of casts later managed a codling of about 1.5lb ,a while later missed a good slackliner too ,it was hard trying to cast in them winds ,it went quiete for a bit till the tide start ebbing took another codling at the same size 1.5lb .on me last cast i chucked into bay side and took a codling a bit smaller which went back , left at 5.30pm bait used fresh crab.

heres a couple pics i took

                    rathouse night after

(thursday 27th ) just adding this on rather than making another thread.

11.30pm me and the boy had a few hours out the house tonight, still a nice sea on lads ,wind blowing like mad so jumped down to the drop off next to the end ,took a few small undersize codling on frozen crab ,wind died off a touch so i moved back ontop ,resulted in couple more undersize codling , baits this time was mussle and crab cocktail ,all fish was returned alive .well the youngin decided it was time to gan home after the sarnies and coffee was demolished we left at 3.30am home for bed.

                    heres a few pics

Nice one mate, i was gonna have a look down seaham white pole coming up high tide and a bit into the dark ,but seaham angling shop has no crab or worm baits left,so looks like i missed out, might give it a blast tomorrow.
