I usually cast to the left of the Carrs and as the tide starts coming in I move back up the beach and cast into the gulley and keep moving to the right, ending up by the large blocks. It is fairly sheltered from the larger rollers, which could be why the fish tend to gather there. I usually only fish here when the wind is south-easterly, preferring the more open stretches towards Druridge bay if the winds coming off the land. Hope this is of some help.
