    in total 7 anglers fished marsden grotto,1 single codling 3lb caught next to me the rest of us BLANKED.conditions were spoton,roughish but come 12am starting to die down.fished 5hours not a bite fresh blacks@frozen crab came back untouched.the bloke with the 3lber caught it on MUSSLE,haway.

    Must have been 15/20 fishing never seen a thingcaught,myself the five next to me blanked good sea on pier closed was a wash dangerous.

          Same for me at Whitburn last night Reg, not a bite. With that sea running I thought it was a cert but not to be.

            I've always had it in the bucket, especially during or after a good blow. Worked for me 20 odd year ago, and now I'm fishing again, its still working!

              love using mussel people totally underestimate it but i personally think its a great bait for tippiing off, pleased i still got 50 bags left

                I always have some mussel with me, caught a fair few codling this year on lug tipped with Mussel.
