  • Swing Bridge/Tues Night

Alright Lads, 2 of us fished the swing bridge last night 6.45pm to 12pmish, 2hrs down 3hrs up we had about 30 to 40 tommys and 2 flounders[1 sized] on the turn from low water i had a codling bang on 2lb so was a busy session just a shame only a couple of size fish out of that many, enjoyable all the same

Baits used were Blow lug,Fresh blacks and Rag with all taking fish equally, the 2lb codling was on blacks

Sorry still no idea on how to upload photo's,maybe one day

    Cheers

If you instal tapatalk on ya phone ya can put them straight on from ya phone mate , canny busy sesh .
      I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
      And we will fish together

to the right on the Gateshead side where the boat used to be but it is being developed soon so don't know how much longer we will be able to fish there

i've seen people fishing on the newcastle side and a bit further up, thought they must be trying for a bit sport with the flats, amazed that the codling get up that far, jarrow slacks is as far up as i've fished which resulted in a 3lb codling and numerous good size coleys, some time ago though.

I dont think tyne bridge is that far from the sea to be fair plenty of cod caught even futher up than that in right condations. Sounds like a canny sesh. Always rated the copthoren n sourounding areas as a place that throws up fish. Used to smash it wen was younger regular.
