Started off on the prom at the headland at 6ish,baited up a 2 hook flapper with salted rag tipped with macky, had nowt but my bait came back with no macky so I tied a big pennel rig on with a macky n mussel cocktail and still nowt! Anyway had a cast with the 2 hook flapper baited with jus macky hoping to get a noticeable bite and still I blanked.anyway a few more casts later and still nowt I decided to phone the good lady and asked her to drop me off at the marina to use the rest of my bait out the way of the wind.set up in front of that new build of the hotel with my pennel baited with a full squid n a half a fillet of macky whipped to the side,straight away I had a monster bite that I missed, I reeled in and the macky had sharp teeth marks in it and had been ripped out of most of the cotton so I rebaited it with a fillet of macky whipped with mussel... Nowt again! Anyway I decided the Indian cottage was shouting me and I decided to pack up and try again for that big 1 before the lock gate opens in the morning... I've got a third of a snap bag of mussel, 6 squid n a fillet of macky to try n get it in the morning, n am gonna get it lol
