whitley bay beach may fish but the tides are big and the holes in the beach will empty out if you are fishing LW. if your fishing HW the boat house at whitley may fish over HW but with the tides being big you will be pushed right back to the cliffs. the prom just up from the boat house can be fished at HW and may throw a couple out.
Cullercoats rocks (south side) may also be worth a go at low water casting into the channel, rough ground here so strong line and rotten bottoms. can fish the south pier at hw aslong as the sea isnt too big, do not fish the north pier gets swamped when the seas away.
goatsy's prom is also a hw chuck in cullercoats casting between the skeers can fish well in a good see over HW, shoulndt lose much gear as fishing onto flat skeers plain leads can help.
few marks on st marys too with crisps gulley an option which is the gulley to the left as you walk onto the island.
Hope this helps
