  • Shields beach tonight 23/11/13

Fished the big beach over high tide tonight 5 till 8.30pm

Started with a 2/0, 5/0 pennel with plenty of lug and bluey, hoping for a bass or cod had nothing by high tide so switched to a two hook flapper with size 2's and little lug worm - got a nice coley, then nothing again so packed up at half 8.

3 guys fishing further down near trow rocks, don't know if they had anything.

Unlucky Andy. It was quiet tonight fish wise, thought it would be better with all of the fish being caught over the last couple of days.

It is mate! same on the river - I fish jara park all the time and get nowt but tiddlers, then see reports of size codling down at the walkway/groyne and up at st peters/copthorne! I think they just swim past jarrow really quickly!
