  • Whats the odds?

Had look up to beadnell today for another session.. Was quiet with crabs taking bait.. As darkness fell started getting bites, mick got a small codling. When I looked at it couldnt believe it. I caught the same fish last saturday!!! Same scar and sore spots on it, 100% the same fish.. Away it swam (again!) proves these fish are localised to one area.. Or its a one off thing anyway was pretty amazed..

    same fish

Where u fishing the exact same spot as last time mate? Im not sure about fish staying around the same area but would guess the odds of catching the exact same fish 2 weeks apart have got to be very very high. Nice 1 tho. lol.

Kelps marks hold a lot of resident fish its just that most of them are never returned when caught.
If you tagged fish and returned them you would probably catch them again, especially Pollack.

Aye we were there, we left when we should really have stayed as the tide was well on the ebb.. Was a few lads making their way onto the skeers to fish the tide half down then up..

Used to fish the River Tees at Piercebridge and there was a weird deformed little brown trout in one of the swims. Really strange hump back to it. Anyway you could catch it every time you fished that place.
