Well I have never fished in winds like them before, casting a 3oz lead with the wind behind me I was seeing line that had never been of the reel before, in total 3 brave people risked the winds on Shields and much to the amusement of 2 women from Holland that walked along the pier to wave some friends off on the ferry.
Anyway catch report.... I ended up with 11 coalie all under 1lb and 10 sandeel caught on redgills and daylights.
Seen a couple other coalie caught and 1 dab on bait, you boat lads be mad to try and make it out in that today, white horses from the beach as far as the eye can see.
