  • Blyth Beach 19th October

Fished a couple of hours over high water yesterday evening and first chuck landed this bass, was a bit camera shy and wouldn't stay still for the photo.

Had couple of tiny, and I mean tiny, coalies after that then it went quiet on high water. When the tide turned had a small flatty

Then another postage stamp flatty straight after

Then a few more undersize coalies of which this was probably the biggest

All took frozen black lug and were returned to grow bigger for next time
    PB: 3lb 12oz Bass back in 1998
2013 Species: Cod, Bass, Pollock, Wrasse, Whiting, Mackarel, Coalfish, Flounder, Dab, Rockling

Canny mixed bag mate , well done on the bass :-)
      I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
      And we will fish together
