    North Shields fish quay

Does anybody know if the fish quay is fishing. Havnt been for a while. Also is there a big chain which runs along the quay so I've been told. That's probably what I've been getting snagged up on

You need to be chucking your baits at least 120 yards at the quay to clear the worst of the snags, and a good bit further if you can. Also avoid the bigger tide as you'll quickly get pulled around - not much fun if there are a few lines out. It can fish very well at times but give me the open shore any day of the week.

                river shotzzzz

Pier Ramp high water SE sea, Haven Rocks Flat or dying sea and roughly 1mtr or bigger tide, Back of the Middens island Sea on or flat " chucking up side " , Prom or car park for Flounders at high water any size tide when flat, Sand bar at Fish quay big tide low water, Small beach for flounders low or high water any size tide, the Gut for flounders eels anytime, Middle of the fish quay about 2 hours before low water and fish for about 3-4 hours and keep to medium size tides, tommy youngs for the start of the flood and again medium tides, Smiths dock couple hours before low water and fish for 3-4 hours and most tides, High shores can be fished at distance for cod whitings coalies and close range for dirty flounders.

Hope this helps and if you would like any more info Bud, just ask....
