  • blyth pier yesterday

Fished blyth pier yesterday from 6pm til 11. Gt there and heard the odd small codling had been caught so quickly got a line in the water. First 5 casts within an hour n a half of getin there i had 5 codling out. The biggest was just over 4lb had another 3lb. Two about2.5lb and one just under size. The fish went off at h/w but stuck it out for a chuck on the ebb and bang straight into a good fish which felt alot bigger than me 4lber but lost this 1 half way in. Decided to have 1 more cast n managed to get me 6th out. 5th keeper for a bag of 13.5 lb. All fish on blow lug crab mussel cocktails with a black wrapped on the side 22nd size cod so far roll on the winter n the biggins comin in.

The harbour is a waste of time unless there's a mountainous south-easterly sea running - otherwise you'll be lucky to scratch out a few tiddlers.
