The FPO anounced she was going to the bingo at tea time so I decided to have a couple of hours down at the walkway just to get out on a nice night. Only had twice frozen crab (thanks to my youngun who left the freezer door open once), several times frozen mussel and 3 times frozen black lug, hence didnt expect to catch mutch if anything so I took 2 rods.
Well it turned out quite well as I got a good knock on the first rod while I was setting up number 2. Unfortunately I missed that one but then got 2 coalies (size) straight away after that. Used all baits as a cocktail and got little bites on just about every cast and caught about 10 undersize codling between 8" and 12" and another sizeable coalie. A good nights entertainment when fishing is poor. Stuff that 'fresh bait is best rule'........well maybe's this is a one off.
