  • Nice day out

Graham nd I fished at Blyth in the power station area. I thought this was hard ground to walk around but we set up with a rod each on Grahams old rod rest that went over 5 times with the pull of the tide not fish pull. We used rag, mussel and lug but we both had bites but only 1 cod 19cm long so put back. Found this hard work so wont go there any more as a good ride from Bp/Auckland Still enjoyed the day out as I always do but to old for hard walking . I am going back to Roker as is a comfortable fishing spot and have never blanked at this pier ever in my life.

If you're talking about the Roker pier, check before you go, as it's still shut due to storm damage:

Where were you fishing mate? Generally not much walking required for cambois. Both rocks and beach are seconds from getting out of car. Fished the beach (bottom of ramp) last night, quite a few bites but couldn't hook into anything.
