fished off the beach at a new spot for me out from seal sands off a nice piece of beach just out of seaton carew. casting good distance to my right was rough ground but straight out and to my left was clean. had 3 flatties and a good sized coalie 34cm that must have been lost and alone as I thought they were shoal fish but only the one for the day.used bluey for second time in my life and was only catching on rag but another time might be different. enjoyed the weather and a nice walk back to car. two young lads 16yrs were fishing short with a small rod who cought a nice flounder near 2lb were jumping for joy as it was their first fish they said in five days fishing. water seemed quit deep as took lead long time to drop. will try this spot again soon as it seems to be out of windy areas and didn't loose any gear.
