just got back from the rat house... yeah same here really got 3 whitey(undersize) and a tiny codling plus a flattie. Lug and mackerel seemed to be doing the catching while rag just got the crabs going
    All returned safely.

went back today to use left over bait. Planning on roker pier, but could not park anywhere near it and could not be arsed to walk

Again poor day, 3 fish all well under size, in fact they would be a good size for my fish tank

      may try again 2morra

        The rat pier

I,m not impressed with this pier. Crabs and more crabs. Much prefer the Heugh at Hartlepool. Had a much better day on Thursday fishing here. I had four or five flatties and a couple were a good size. Ialso had a couple of small whities. Kept me on my toes though.
Is any decent fish caught off the rat.
Do the fish come in to feed in the estuary. Its all new to me. Only been twice

Mick most people call it The Rat House, The Ratty or Rathouse Corner.

I'm not trying to be clever but it's always nice
