Me and my son Mark fished the Crescent Skeer and Hartley Island for a couple of hours tonight. As usual he pulled the fish out while I tried to keep up. Starting at the Crescent Skeer, we had a bite a cast from small coddling of just either side of a pound.
Once the tide dropped enough we moved to Hartley Island where he pulled out a few more codling followed by a tadpole fish of about 12oz. It’s the first one I’ve seen in over 30 years of fishing so I took a few pics which I’ll try to get off my phone later.
All the fish came to peeler and lug with many more missed bites. We could have had a higher sucess rate with smaller hooks but didn't want to step down as all the fish went back anyway.
