  • Jarra Park, Sunday morning, my first codling

Had a terrible 5hr blank on ssp on Saturday afternoon (when rob, mark and mick were pulling all kinds of fish in!) so this morning i went out in the rain to use up the bait I had leftover at Jarrow for a few hours.

Got nothing for 2 hrs up and the slack but when the tide turned around I started getting small whiting around 20-25cms. On my very last cast with the last scrag-ends of worm stuffed on the hook I got a codling!

It was only small, about 25cms, but it was a codling, and my first. Well chuffed, brightened up a poor weekend of fishing for me.

Nice one Andy, glad you got your codling mate. You can scrub my name from that list, the rest of them were catching all sorts but not me!

Cheers mark! You were getting plenty of action with the pouting while I was there.
