    Thanks for the replys boys Dover or common sole is still a cracking result for me and can't wait to taste it
    Ps should I leave it in fridge for a few days as said previously so it tastes better ????

      Have a look here, seems to agree with leaving it for a couple of days.

      2016 - Cod, Dab, Dogfish, Gurnard, Ling, Mackerel, Saithe, Scorpian fish. .

            Aye shields pier throws up only a couple of sole a year to rod and line so It's a canny tick ! On the other hand there is a lot of the arze soles found on the pier during the summer months !

                          Well done lads nice to meet you and rob. I've never seen sole off the pier either and for me to get one too was very surprising
