Arrived at 8am, noone fishing the island at all, set up at the bottom of stairs and cast into crisps? first cast 2lb codling , then absolutely nothing for the next 2 hours, switched to a smaller rod and did some float fishing, very small pollack every time, was fun for a while but ultimately I wanted something bigger!
Moved across from crisps , the tide was well and truly out by now, and after losing a lot of gear was a little disheartened.
Anyhoo, the last hour was great, chucking it as far as I could I managed 3 codling, a lobster ( haha ) , and 2 coalies, the island has to be my favourite place to fish, even if you blank, the scenery is great!
fished 8am - 12.30 , only used rag.
