Got my winter season off to a cracking start today,Had an early finish at work so headed down to lewis tackle in whitley and got my bait and headed down to collywell.It turned out to be absolutley unfishable and dangerous so didnt even set up,so decided on whitley prom to try and get a bit shelter from wind.got set up just before 4oclock and spent the first hour bringing tons of weed in
,but as tide slackened the weed died off and the fish came on.first was a nice flounder at 32cm then 3 codling followed,all about 3/4 of a pound to a pound,all returned safely.nothing big i know,but nice to see the fish are there.baits used were razor,mussell and frozen blacks.REally enjoyable session even though i got soaked to the bone and blasted by that wind.
