South Shieldspier 4-9-13.

Got to pier at 11 am and stayed until 6 pm ish. First cast at mark 44 got a blennie on my three hook flapper baited with rag on size 4 hooks.
Next cast very small whitey then small Pollack. Most of the rest of the day was just dire for me.
However I saw some nice Plaice being brought in around me. One lad had one over 2lb. Long flowing traces with red beads baited with fresh lively rag seemed to do the damage.
Tried for Pollack off the blocks with my spinning gear but again no luck. Saw few mackerel still being caught.
Looking forwards to a nip in the air as still few mackie bashers coming down with the packs of beer.

well done mick been down seaham pier today for a few macky not a sniff not even a sandeel weekend weather should shift the tinny brigade off there was plenty of wasps the day went home with buket of water for worms hard shift
