nice one Paul,hope it creates abit tidal rip between the green rocks/gulleys and the breakwater itself, but we'll have to wait and see.
My abiding memory of newbiggin is of lads fishing off the top of the shelters that overlooked the old prom in a massive sea,me just visiting with me old man/older brother for a look down.
It was also very busy on the beach in the summer and the icecream floaters from bertorelli's were the bees knees....rgf

Be interresting to see how it affects the whole eco system roy its bound to have a knock on effect for the likes taffys and the bottom of the cliffs etc as the wave movement will be redirected somewhere.
Bout time they started investing money in newbiggin,spent a lot of time there myself as a kid and the cash injection is long over due.
